Information Security Officer – Governance, Risk & Compliance

Our client, a prominent leader in the telecommunications industry, is looking for a dedicated professional to join their security management team. This role focuses on providing security leadership and strategic advisory services to ensure the resilience and compliance of digital operations against evolving threats.

• Provide CISO-as-a-Service to various organizational entities to strengthen their overall security posture.
• Support the maintenance and preparation of ISO 27001 certifications and ensure compliance with the NIS2 directive.
• Perform comprehensive cybersecurity assessments to identify gaps, define baselines, and establish strategic roadmaps.
• Develop and implement information security policies, procedures, and guidelines across the organization.
• Advise on cybersecurity risk management and governance programs for diverse projects and technical architectures.
• Execute risk assessments and assist technical teams as an interim security officer during project implementations.
• Design and test crisis management, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans.

• 5+ years of experience in Information Security, IT Audit, and Risk Management.
• 5+ years of experience with frameworks such as ISO 27000 series, NIST, ISF, CIS, and the NIS2 Directive.
• 5+ years of expertise covering Risk Management, Governance, Network Security, Application Security, and IAM.
• Hands-on experience with MS Azure and various security technologies.
• Certified ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer.
• You possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• You bring proven project management skills and the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy.
• You're results-oriented and able to deliver high-quality outcomes within preset deadlines.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.

Nice to Haves

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, NIS2 Lead Implementer, or ISO 9001.
• Previous experience within the telecommunications sector.
• Professional knowledge of French.
