Site Reliability Engineer – Energy & Infrastructure Observability

Our client is a leading European transmission system operator dedicated to ensuring the reliability and sustainability of the energy supply. This role involves ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of on-premises services within a critical product organization by designing monitoring infrastructure and implementing best practices. The focus is on improving system uptime and efficiency through advanced observability solutions.

• Design and maintain robust monitoring infrastructure and custom dashboards.
• Implement distributed tracing and log aggregation systems to enhance observability.
• Establish monitoring best practices and SLI/SLO frameworks across the organization.
• Automate deployment and configuration management for infrastructure components.
• Collaborate with development teams on application instrumentation and performance tuning.
• Maintain security compliance for on-premises monitoring tools and systems.
• Participate in on-duty rotations to provide 24/7 incident support.

• You have 3+ years of experience in monitoring and observability within production environments.
• You possess 2+ years of experience with Grafana and Prometheus, including advanced PromQL.
• You bring strong experience in Linux system administration and on-premises infrastructure solutions.
• You're proficient in OpenTelemetry and Elasticsearch.
• You have experience with automation using Python, Bash, or Go.
• You possess knowledge of enterprise networking and on-premises security practices.
• You're able to balance technical trade-offs with business needs and prioritize effectively.
• You are fluent in English at a C1 level.
