Senior Project Manager – Cybersecurity & Large-Scale Transformation

Our client, a leading organization in the transportation sector, is seeking a highly experienced professional to lead critical cybersecurity initiatives. This hands-on leadership role focuses on the end-to-end delivery of complex projects to ensure organizational resilience and compliance. The role requires direct engagement with senior stakeholders to drive results in high-stakes operational environments.

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity and CISO-related programs, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and business objectives.
• Define project scope, timelines, and delivery plans while ensuring strong governance and risk management.
• Manage project risks, issues, and changes, proactively resolving obstacles that could impact delivery.
• Collaborate closely with senior business and IT stakeholders to translate strategic security requirements into executable project plans.
• Develop and enforce governance frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with cybersecurity and compliance standards.
• Ensure structured reporting, documentation, and communication throughout the project lifecycle using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft 365.
• Drive continuous improvement of cybersecurity project delivery practices and operational processes.
• Provide executive-level reporting and presentations to senior leadership and governance bodies.
• Ensure accountability for project outcomes and maintain direct ownership of program execution.
• Support coordination between enterprise architecture, security teams, and operational IT stakeholders.

• You have at least 20 years of experience in IT.
• You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in project or program management.
• You have successfully delivered at least two complex, large-scale business transformation programs.
• You have demonstrated experience managing programs or projects with budget oversight exceeding €20M.
• You have proven experience delivering projects in critical operational or infrastructure environments.
• You hold a project management certification such as PMI, PMBOK, PRINCE2, or PM2.
• You are experienced with delivery frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
• You are familiar with governance frameworks such as COBIT and ITIL.
• You are experienced using tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft 365.
• You are fluent in English and either Dutch or French, with professional proficiency in the other national language.

Nice to Haves

• Certification in cybersecurity domains such as CISSP.
• Knowledge of information security standards such as ISO 27001.
• Experience with quantitative risk analysis techniques such as Monte Carlo analysis.
• Experience delivering cybersecurity transformation initiatives.
