Senior Solution Architect – Digital Transformation & Integration

Our client, a major public safety organization, is undergoing a large-scale digital transformation to modernize its operational processes and technical infrastructure. This role involves serving as a technical lead responsible for designing complex architectures and driving the strategic evolution of integration and data platforms.

• Define, maintain, and evolve integration platforms using SOA principles and standard modeling methods like UML and BPMN.
• Design and oversee complex integration solutions using Webmethods, JMS, Apache Camel, and WebServices.
• Manage the application portfolio lifecycle, focusing on the modernization and decommissioning of legacy systems.
• Develop high-level design (HLD) documentation to ensure data flow consistency across various systems.
• Establish and govern DevOps, MLOps, and DevSecOps principles within project pipelines to ensure automation and security.
• Collaborate with senior management to align technical solutions with business cases and organizational objectives.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership by configuring, automating, and performing quality control on architectural implementations.

• You have 8+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Integration Architect.
• You bring 8+ years of experience in backend development and integration using Java, Python, Webmethods, JMS, and Apache Camel.
• You're experienced with integration technologies such as WSO2, Talend, REST/SOAP WebServices, and SOA.
• You possess 8+ years of experience in data modeling and architecture using UML, BPMN, Oracle, and MySQL.
• You have 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP and hybrid architectures.
• You bring 5+ years of experience in containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• You're experienced with CI/CD and DevOps practices using GitLab CI, GitOps, and DevSecOps.
• You have 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
• You possess a TOGAF, Prince 2, or Scrum certification.
• You are fluent in French or Dutch with professional knowledge of English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with modeling tools like Archimate or Orbus.
• Knowledge of Linux (Red Hat) and network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN.
• Familiarity with OCR and AI data extraction solutions.
• Fluency in both French and Dutch.

• Start date: May 4th, 2026.
• Duration: Until December 31st, 2026 (extendable).
• Work regime: Full-time.
• Location: Brussels.
• Working model: Hybrid (minimum 2 days onsite).
• Contract: open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
