Lead Full Stack Developer – Python/Django

Our client, a prominent institution in the education and research sector, is looking for a Lead Developer to drive the evolution of their web-based platforms. The role focuses on guiding a development team through technical challenges while maintaining hands-on involvement in coding and architecture.

• Lead and coach a team of developers to ensure high-quality software delivery and professional growth.
• Execute complex programming tasks including coding, testing, and debugging of web-based applications.
• Drive the Agile development process and take a leading role in sprint ceremonies and planning.
• Architect and maintain scalable systems using various Python and PHP frameworks.
• Integrate web services and manage data flows between relational databases and APIs.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and solution designs.

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Python, Django, Wagtail, and django-rest.
• 5+ years of backend development experience with PHP, Symfony, Laravel, and Drupal.
• 5+ years of frontend development experience using Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• 5+ years of experience with Agile methodologies, including experience in a leading or coordinating role.
• 5+ years of experience with Relational Databases and Webservices including REST and SOAP.
• You have experience with version control systems such as GIT and modeling with UML.
• You possess strong leadership skills and experience coaching other developers.
• You have an analytical mindset coupled with proactive problem-solving abilities.
• You are fluent in Dutch at a C2 level.

Nice to Haves

• 5+ years experience in the education sector with a focus on digitizing and optimizing work processes.
• Knowledge of Java or J2EE environments and relevant certifications.
