Senior Solution Engineer – Digital Transformation & Cloud Engineering

Our client, a leading organization in the public sector, is looking for an expert to drive their digital modernization program. This role focuses on translating high-level solution architectures into robust implementations within a cloud-native environment for a large-scale documentation project.

• Translate high-level solution architectures into detailed implementation designs and technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and integrate secure and robust microservices and APIs.
• Manage and maintain development, test, and production environments within a hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient software delivery.
• Collaborate within large agile teams to deliver quality products and solve complex technical challenges.
• Provide technical guidance to stakeholders and fellow engineers on software design and security.

• 8+ years backend development with Java SE, API design, and microservices integration.
• 5+ years experience in software design focusing on cloud, event-driven architecture, and Java SE 10+.
• 3+ years with cloud-native development and PaaS offerings, specifically within Azure.
• 3+ years implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with NoSQL databases.
• 1+ years working with the Quarkus Java framework.
• You possess a higher education degree in Computer Science from an EU-recognized university.
• You're a proactive communicator capable of bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• You have an active knowledge of English and are proficient in either Dutch or French.

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of Behavioral Driven Development (BDD).
• Experience with Domain Driven Design (DDD).
• Familiarity with European interoperability standards.
• Knowledge of existing digital building blocks within a federal government context.
