Senior Infrastructure Architect – Public Sector & Cloud Transformation

Our client, a prominent federal public organization, is seeking an expert to define their long-term infrastructure vision and roadmap. This role involves guiding the transition to modern cloud-based solutions while ensuring alignment with security compliance and investment strategies.

• Develop a long-term To-Be infrastructure architecture and a coherent implementation roadmap for future investments.
• Define lifecycle strategies for existing components and maintenance contracts, including extension or decommissioning plans.
• Advise the ICT department on staffing requirements, team continuity, and cost-saving opportunities through business cases.
• Collaborate actively with the Cloud Center of Excellence and Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure technical alignment.
• Participate in the Architecture Board and contribute to technical studies and procurement specifications for new projects.
• Monitor the realization of the infrastructure roadmap and support projects related to security compliance initiatives.

• You have 8+ years of experience in an architecture role such as Infrastructure or Solution Architect, with 10+ years in ICT infrastructure.
• You bring 8+ years of experience with core infrastructure, including **Windows** and **Linux** environments, **VMware**, **Docker**, and **Kubernetes (AKS)**.
• You have 8+ years of experience in storage and backup strategies, including **SAN/NAS**, object storage, and disaster recovery.
• You possess 4+ years of experience with public cloud platforms, specifically **Azure**, including landing zones, IaaS/PaaS, and governance.
• You have 4+ years of experience in identity and directory services using **Azure AD / Entra ID**, **Active Directory**, and **Microsoft 365**.
• You bring 4+ years of experience with authentication protocols such as **OAuth2**, **OpenID Connect**, **SAML**, and **ADFS**.
• You're experienced in network and security architecture involving **LAN/WAN**, **Zero Trust** principles, and cloud networking.
• You have 1+ years of experience with DevOps and automation tools including **Azure DevOps**, **GitHub Actions**, and **Terraform**.
• You're a strong communicator and result-oriented team player capable of explaining complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• You are fluent in **Dutch** or **French** with active knowledge of **English**.

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of enterprise architecture methodologies such as **TOGAF**.
• Previous experience working within the federal public sector.
• Familiarity with application platforms like **.NET Core** and **API Management**.
• Knowledge of database environments including **Oracle**, **SQL Server**, and **Azure SQL**.
