Telecom Engineer – Datacom & Fiber

Our client, a leading organization in the utility sector, is looking for a specialist to manage and optimize their telecommunications infrastructure. This role focuses on overseeing fixed-line services, managing M2M platforms, and coordinating critical datacom projects within a modern technological environment.

• Manage and optimize fixed-line telecommunications services including fiber, signal cables, and coaxial infrastructure.
• Administer APN environments, SIM card management, and M2M platforms.
• Coordinate OT and IT projects where fixed-wired communication plays a critical role.
• Liaise with external telecom operators to monitor service levels and operational requirements.
• Develop technical standards, architectural principles, and policies for fixed-line connectivity.
• Identify emerging technologies and market trends to support infrastructure migration projects.
• Collaborate with security, architecture, and operations teams to ensure robust communication solutions.

• 3+ years experience with datacom technologies, specifically optical fiber and copper cabling.
• 3+ years in coordinating datacom-related projects and managing technical dossiers from design to execution.
• 3+ years working with OT networks.
• 3+ years performing quality control and error analysis of datacom technologies.
• 3+ years experience working with telecom databases.
• You possess knowledge of GIS platforms such as Smallworld, Geo, or Google Earth.
• You are native in Dutch.
