Infrastructure Engineer – Virtualization & VDI Solutions

Our client, a leading organization in the life sciences sector, is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to support the technical implementation and operational maintenance of a new facility's IT environment. The role focuses on delivering best-in-class server, virtualization, and networking solutions while ensuring alignment with global infrastructure standards.

• Provide technical and operational support for Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop, and thin client solutions.
• Manage and maintain Windows Server environments including 2016, 2019, and 2022 versions.
• Oversee Active Directory management, including GPO, DNS, and DHCP configurations.
• Execute infrastructure projects for manufacturing systems such as MES and DeltaV.
• Perform feasibility studies for new technologies and integrate them with on-site infrastructure.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and service owners to define and execute implementation trajectories.

• 3+ years of experience with installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Microsoft operating systems and applications.
• Experience with virtualization and hyper-converged infrastructure including VMware, Citrix, VxRail, and vSAN.
• Knowledge of infrastructure services including Active Directory, GPO, DNS, and DHCP.
• Proficiency in Cisco-based networks, TCP/IP, and Antivirus solutions.
• Familiarity with database systems such as SQL and Oracle.
• Experience in writing technical specifications and documentation.
• Flexible, service-oriented, and able to work independently.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.

Nice to Haves

• Possession of MCSE certification.
• Knowledge of GMP, GAMP5, and CFR21Part11 regulations.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Understanding of validation methodologies.
