Purchasing Specialist / Buyer

Our client is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to manage end-to-end procurement activities within an industrial setting. This role focuses on executing the complete purchasing process, from tendering and negotiation to contract administration, while ensuring cost optimization and compliance.

• Organize the complete purchasing process including tendering, bid evaluation, negotiation, and contract award.
• Convert purchase requests into orders and manage internal approval delegations.
• Define purchasing and contracting strategies alongside stakeholders to optimize cost and performance.
• Manage a portfolio of service contracts through regular performance assessments and renewals.
• Coordinate supplier performance reviews and manage commercial claims with legal and finance support.
• Maintain compliance with internal policies, ethics rules, and legal standards.
• Support operational teams with commercial guidance and contribute to the annual procurement plan.

• You bring experience working with SAP within a procurement context.
• You have professional proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• You possess a thorough understanding of the end-to-end purchasing cycle and contracting strategies.
• You bring strong negotiation skills and experience in commercial claim management.
• You're able to manage a portfolio of service contracts and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• You are fluent in Dutch with a good knowledge of English.
