Senior Information Security Officer – Infrastructure & Engineering Solutions

Our client, a leading organization specializing in large-scale infrastructure and engineering technology, is looking for a Senior Information Security Officer. The role focuses on developing a robust information security strategy while ensuring governance and compliance across multidisciplinary project teams.

• Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive information security strategy and operational roadmap.
• Execute security risk assessments for technology implementations and information management processes.
• Establish and maintain security governance frameworks and information security management systems.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across the organization, with a focus on GDPR and privacy standards.
• Advise technical teams on security best practices for application development and architecture.
• Coordinate external security engagements, including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
• Act as the central point of contact for security and privacy matters for all stakeholders.

• 10+ years of experience in information security, project management, and stakeholder management.
• You possess deep expertise in ISO 27001 and information security management processes.
• You bring a thorough understanding of regulatory standards, information management, and GDPR.
• You have a proven ability to expand and implement security initiatives and strategies.
• You're an excellent communicator with strong coordination and leadership skills.
• You possess a collaborative and team-oriented professional style.
• You are fluent in Dutch or French with at least B2 level proficiency in the other language.

Nice to Haves

• Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
• Experience within engineering consultancies or the heavy infrastructure sector.
• Operational knowledge of English at a B1 level or higher.

• Start date: ASAP.
• Work regime: 60% (3 days per week).
• Contract: open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
