Forwarding & Transportation Lead

Our client is a leading global organization specialized in materials technology and sustainable recycling solutions. This role focuses on leading international forwarding teams while driving operational excellence and compliance across complex, global transport flows.

• Lead and manage international forwarding teams to ensure the seamless booking and execution of transport orders.
• Act as the domain owner for forwarding processes, driving digitalization and the maturity of transportation systems.
• Ensure supply chain continuity by managing daily operational disruptions and implementing continuous improvement solutions.
• Provide expert guidance as a Subject Matter Expert on transport modes, Incoterms, and global logistics solutions.
• Manage spot rate requests and support procurement strategies in line with international regulations and service levels.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and coordinate with trade compliance teams to ensure safe transport solutions.

• You have a Master degree.
• You possess 8+ years of relevant experience in a transport, forwarding, or logistics environment.
• You bring in-depth expertise in transportation processes, transport modes, and digital logistics systems.
• You have expert knowledge of regulations regarding Customs, Dangerous Goods (ADR/IMDG/IATA), and Transboundary Waste Shipments.
• You possess a License Transport Commissioner (Vakbekwaamheid Vervoerscommissionair).
• You're an analytical thinker with strong decision-making capabilities and experience in people management.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.
