FullStack JavaScript Developer – VueJS / NodeJS

Our client, a leading public sector digital agency, is seeking a versatile developer to strengthen their portal and document service teams. This role focuses on designing and maintaining scalable microservices and high-performance web applications within a modern cloud environment.

• Design and implement scalable services based on a modern microservices architecture in the cloud.
• Develop accessible and user-friendly web applications using Vue 3 and Nuxt.
• Build robust Node.js backends and REST APIs to ensure efficient data exchange.
• Maintain and expand a centralized Design System to provide a uniform user experience across digital platforms.
• Implement UI components and prototypes in compliance with WCAG accessibility guidelines.
• Collaborate with architects and UI/UX experts to improve technical quality and security integration.

• 5+ years of experience in developing modular front-end applications.
• 5+ years of experience with JavaScript development.
• 3+ years of experience with Vue.js.
• 3+ years of experience with Node.js.
• You possess knowledge of REST APIs and microservices.
• You have experience with cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• You are fluent in Dutch at a C2 level.

Nice to Haves

• Experience working within public sector environments.
• Knowledge of NestJS and Nuxt.
• Familiarity with the Vlaanderen Design System.
• Higher education degree in a technical or engineering field.
