Data Governance Analyst – Data & Analytics Platform

Our client, a major player in the maritime and logistics sector, is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support their data and analytics department. This role focuses on unlocking data sources to drive data-driven insights and supporting the governance team across a variety of strategic projects.

• Support the data governance team across various projects and initiatives to unlock data sources for the organization.
• Act as a proactive partner for business units to explore data-driven insights and optimize the use of available data.
• Guide business stakeholders in gaining a better understanding of their data and steer the optimization of data usage within departments.
• Challenge and refine data definitions to ensure high-quality standards and alignment across the business.
• Develop and optimize business processes (BPM) to enhance the integration of ICT within general operations.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate complex data needs into actionable insights.
• Apply analytical skills to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical data solutions.

• You possess a Bachelor’s degree in ICT or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• You bring 5+ years of experience in business operations with a focus on ICT.
• You have 5+ years of experience in stakeholder management for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• You have 5+ years of experience with SQL for data exploration.
• You bring 3+ years of experience as an analyst within a professional environment.
• You possess 3+ years of experience developing data models for data reporting.
• You're experienced with BPM development and optimization.
• You have strong abstract thinking, conceptual skills, and the ability to constructively challenge stakeholders.
• You are fluent in Dutch with a C2 level.

Nice to Haves

• 5+ years of experience with data quality concepts and solutions.
• Knowledge and experience with Power BI.
• Practical experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with project management facets including cost, timing, and planning.
• Familiarity with nautical terminology.
