Expert Chief Information Security Officer – Cyber Security & Governance

Our client, a leading organization in the public sector, is seeking a strategic leader to protect the digital landscape and ensure IT resilience. This role involves defining security strategy, managing governance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements to safeguard data integrity and availability.

• Lead federal information security audits and ensure organizational compliance.
• Develop and monitor comprehensive security policies and procedures.
• Identify, evaluate, and report IT risks to the executive management team.
• Strengthen the cybersecurity culture and awareness among all employees.
• Manage security incidents and coordinate communication with authorities.
• Perform periodic controls on implemented security measures.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for cybersecurity matters with federal authorities.

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT environments.
• 5+ years of experience in information security within operational or organizational contexts.
• Advanced knowledge of technical protection measures including firewalls, anti-virus, and cryptography.
• Strong expertise in identity and access solutions including Microsoft Entra ID and IAM.
• Profound understanding of NIS2 legislation and international security standards.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or Engineering.
• Ability to reconcile cybersecurity risks with operational priorities and communicate risk-based decisions.
• You are native in French with active knowledge of Dutch and English.

Nice to Haves

• Possession of certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001, or ISO 27005.
• Proven experience in drafting corporate security policies.
