Security Architect – Infrastructure & Cloud Security

Our client, a leading organization in the utility sector focusing on water management and sustainable infrastructure, is seeking a Security Architect to strengthen their digital landscape. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on implementation to develop an integrated security architecture across cloud and on-premise environments. The successful candidate will play a key part in translating security policies into a concrete roadmap for a one-year project.

• Develop the information security vision and translate it into a concrete roadmap with clear investment priorities.
• Design and maintain an integrated security architecture covering systems, applications, and cloud environments.
• Implement modern security principles including Zero Trust and ASE across IT and OT environments.
• Execute technical configurations for network security, including firewalls, VPN, and microsegmentation.
• Collaborate with IAM, IGA, and PAM solutions to optimize access models.
• Lead security operations such as incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability management.
• Coordinate audits and security assessments to improve overall organizational maturity.

• You have a Master's degree in IT or equivalent through relevant experience.
• You bring 5+ years of experience in a specialized security architect or engineering role.
• You possess experience with network architectures and security, including firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation.
• You have knowledge of datacenter and virtualization platforms such as ESXi, AHV, and Proxmox.
• You're proficient in cloud platforms, with a strong focus on Azure.
• You have experience with operational security including incident response, vulnerability management, and patch management.
• You bring professional knowledge of Zero Trust and ASE concepts.
• You possess hands-on experience with identity management solutions like IAM, IGA, and PAM.
• You're proactive and solution-oriented with the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders.
• You are fluent in Dutch.

Nice to Haves

• Certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or CCNA.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and IEC 62443 standards.
• Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or KQL.
• Background in SOC or DevSecOps environments.
