Java Software Engineer – Cloud-Native & Digital Transformation

Our client, a major player in the telecommunications and digital services sector, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to drive innovation and technical excellence. The role involves translating intricate business and IT requirements into meticulously crafted, high-performance code within an agile environment.

• Collaborate with analysts to synthesize technical blueprints and business requirements into sophisticated software solutions.
• Lead sub-teams to ensure the punctual delivery of high-quality results while providing guidance to testers.
• Maintain and optimize principles of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery throughout the development lifecycle.
• Oversee implementation phases to ensure the seamless integration of releases according to established change management frameworks.
• Provide expert guidance to operations teams during critical engineering situations to maintain system stability.
• Apply Agile (SCRUM) and test-driven methodologies to deliver scalable and robust software.

• You possess 8+ years of backend development experience with Java 17+, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• You bring 8+ years of expertise in CI/CD, automated testing, and Agile (Scrum) methodologies.
• You have experience using GIT branching strategies and AI-driven tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• You possess a proven track record in delivering digital transformation initiatives and cloud-native solutions.
• You bring advanced knowledge of functional programming and software quality metrics.
• You're an innovative and customer-centric professional with strong communication and collaborative skills.
• You are fluent in English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with the Apache Camel integration framework.
• Knowledge of the OpenShift Container Platform.
• Proficiency in French and/or Dutch.
