Senior SAP ABAP Developer – S/4HANA & IS-U

Our client, a leading organization in the utility sector, is looking for a specialist to design and implement complex backend solutions within their SAP landscape. The role involves translating functional requirements into robust technical specifications while ensuring compliance with established architecture and governance standards.

• Propose technical solutions and provide workload estimates based on functional specifications and stakeholder discussions.
• Develop modular code using Object-Oriented ABAP while adhering to naming conventions and quality assurance standards.
• Analyze and implement SAP Notes and non-functional requirements related to security, performance, and availability.
• Execute and document comprehensive unit tests, including performance testing and query optimization.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and functional teams to resolve defects identified during testing or production.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior developers and assist in the evaluation of new development frameworks and tools.

• You have 8+ years of experience in SAP Backend Development, ABAP, and Object-Oriented ABAP (OO).
• You bring 8+ years of expertise in SAP Standard Extensions including User-Exit, BAdI, and Enhancement Spot.
• You possess 3+ years of experience in SAP IS-U specifically within the Utilities sector.
• You have proven experience in SAP S/4HANA development and Core Data Services (CDS Views).
• You're experienced in SAP Interface Development using IDoc/ALE, BAPI/RFC, SOAP Web Services, Odata, and SAP Gateway.
• You possess a proactive and solution-oriented mindset for designing cross-functional solutions.
• You are fluent in English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Adobe Forms, BOR, LSMW, and EMIGALL.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori development, ABAP Workbench, Eclipse/ADT, and ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC).
• Familiarity with Dynpro, BOPF, Floorplan Manager (FPM), Web Dynpro, or SAP CRM.
• Master's degree in Information Technology, Economics, or Industrial Engineering.
• Fluent in French or Dutch.
