About the Role
As an HSE Supervisor, you will be a key player in enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards on an industrial construction site. You will be responsible for ensuring that all operations adhere to safety protocols, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements. This position demands a strong field presence, rigorous follow-up on procedures, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- On-Site Supervision (80% field presence):Maintain a consistent presence in the field (minimum 6 hours per day), overseeing daily safety practices and ensuring adherence to procedures.
- Safety Compliance & Documentation:
- Review and co-sign work permits and authorizations for your zone.
- Manage and update related tracking tools and spreadsheets.
- Conduct and validate safety inductions and toolbox talks.
- Ensure proper registration and filing of FLRAs and relevant documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date skills matrices and equipment control records.
Field Verifications:
Enforce the correct use of PPE.
Monitor compliance with safe work procedures and preventive measures.
Check the conformity of portable equipment and machinery.
Perform daily start-up checks and verifications of equipment and vehicles.
Reporting & Communication:
Draft and submit daily safety reports.
Adhere to established communication channels with the HSE Manager.
Fully master the use of internal tools (ERP system, SharePoint, safety apps).

Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in HSE supervision, ideally in construction or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of work permits, risk assessments (RAMS), and operational safety standards.
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency with safety-related software tools and documentation systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bilingual (French/English) is a plus.
