Back-end Developer – Java & Financial Systems

Our client, a leading organization focused on business support services, is looking for a developer to strengthen their internal finance and HR systems. The role involves building, extending, and maintaining critical applications while balancing new feature development with the optimization of existing functionalities.

• Develop robust backend features using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot.
• Perform technical analyses for new and existing system functionalities.
• Manage the life cycle of internal applications to ensure long-term stability.
• Integrate backend solutions with external platforms including accounting and workforce management systems.
• Implement security enhancements and maintain alignment with development best practices.
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders during sprint planning and refinements.

• 3+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• You bring advanced knowledge of Java 17/21 and Spring Boot.
• You possess experience with Clean Code principles and CI/CD.
• You have a strong understanding of Microservices architecture and system integrations.
• You're analytically minded and capable of refactoring complex codebases.
• You're a proactive team player who takes ownership and communicates effectively with stakeholders.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.

Nice to Haves

• Domain knowledge in payroll, HR, finance, or security.
• Experience working with Workday or financial software packages.
