IBM i (AS/400) Developer

Our client is a prominent organization seeking to modernize and maintain its critical internal business applications. The role focuses on delivering high-quality software solutions that enhance operational efficiency while integrating modern technologies and AI tools into the development lifecycle.

• Gather and analyze business requirements to ensure technical solutions align with strategic organizational objectives.
• Design, develop, and deploy internal software applications using a variety of legacy and modern technology stacks.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization to improve system performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide ongoing maintenance for business-critical applications.
• Experiment with innovative technologies, including AI-based solutions, to enhance development quality and productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to support knowledge sharing and professional growth.

• You have professional experience in software development and application support within complex business environments.
• You possess technical expertise in IBM i (AS/400) systems and ARCAD for development management.
• You bring experience in backend development using Java technologies.
• You're proficient in frontend development with Angular.
• You have a proven ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• You possess a proactive mindset with a strong commitment to continuous learning and experimenting with AI tools.
• You bring strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• You're willing to participate in a mandatory on-call rotation including evenings, nights, and weekends.
• You are fluent in English.
