Cloud Architect – Azure & Kubernetes Governance

Our client, a major player in the Belgian transport and infrastructure sector, is seeking a Cloud Architect to join their digital operations team. This role focuses on designing production-grade cloud architectures and establishing robust governance frameworks for a large-scale hybrid environment.

• Define and apply architecture standards and governance frameworks within an enterprise environment.
• Architect and operate workloads across public cloud and on-premises environments to ensure operational consistency.
• Design and implement production-grade cloud architectures using Microsoft Azure.
• Oversee Kubernetes environments, managing both application workloads and platform-level infrastructure.
• Develop hybrid connectivity solutions and shared governance models for diverse technical landscapes.
• Ensure the reliability and scalability of production environments through architectural oversight.

• You bring 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Architect on Microsoft Azure, including direct design and implementation of production-grade systems.
• You have 5+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments, covering platform and application concerns.
• You possess experience operating and architecting workloads across public cloud and on-premises environments using hybrid connectivity.
• You have experience defining and enforcing architecture standards and governance frameworks in enterprise environments.
• You are fluent in French or Dutch at C1 level with a C2 level in English.

• Start date: 08/06/2026.
• Duration: Until 30/04/2028.
• Work regime: Full-time.
• Location: Brussels.
• Working model: Hybrid (2 days on-site per week, with Thursday as a mandatory day).
• Contract: open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
