Responsibilities of the Clinical Trial Assistant
- Act as a central contact for the clinical team for designated project communications, correspondence associated documentation
- Update and maintain clinical systems within project timelines and review files for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare, handle, distribute, file, and archive clinical documentation and reports
- Review of study files periodically for accuracy and completeness
- Format documentation and review the language (English, French, Dutch depending on the skills) if required
- Perform administrative tasks to support team members with clinical trial execution as needed (ex: clinical trial application for ethics committee)
- Organise congress registration, accommodation and travels, and follow up of the clinical team
- Track invoices, confidentiality agreements, financial agreements, CV for the clinical department and follow-up until the signatures are obtained
- May assist in mentoring, training and orienting new staff
Profile of the Clinical Trial Assistant
- School diploma/certificate or educational equivalent; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience; BS/BA preferred
- Must possess basic knowledge of applicable clinical research regulatory requirements; including GCP and ICH guidelines
- Strong Computer skills including proficiency in use of Microsoft Word, Excel
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Strong customer service orientation
- Fluent written and spoken English knowledge
