At Pauwels Consulting, we are looking for an Accountant who goes beyond just accurate bookkeeping. In this role, you will be a key figure within Finance and actively contribute to further developing and professionalizing our accounting operations. It may be a familiar cliché, but at Pauwels Consulting, you will truly be part of a close-knit team alongside the CFO, Finance Manager, and Financial Controllers. Together with them, you will ensure the smooth running of financial processes, reporting, and more. You will join a team and company where people of all ages work together and where various departments (Recruitment, Sales, HR, Contracting, etc.) collaborate closely.
- Your responsibilities
You oversee the accounting for multiple group companies in close collaboration with the Finance team.
Where needed, you take ownership of the monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, together with the Finance Manager.
You coordinate VAT filings and provide technical support in preparing corporate tax returns.
You monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial transactions with a focus on quality and efficiency.
You ensure compliance with tax and regulatory obligations and serve as a technical point of contact within the team.
You critically review processes and reporting and take initiative in optimization and improvement projects.
- Your profile
You have recently – or some time ago – obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Taxation.
You have several years of relevant experience in accounting and taxation, preferably in a multi-entity environment.
You are comfortable with a broad and technically challenging accounting scope and understand the story behind the numbers.
You combine operational accuracy with a broader perspective on processes and improvements.
You work in a structured, independent way and naturally take responsibility.
You communicate fluently in Dutch and can express yourself professionally in English – a native dialect is a nice plus.
