FAQ's

What is the difference between an Electrical Draftsman and an Electrical Engineer?

An Electrical Draftsman develops detailed schematics and implementation plans. An Electrical Engineer focuses more on system design and technical strategy. Both work closely together.

Which tools will I use in this role?

Most projects require electrical design tools such as EPLAN P8 and CANECO for schematics, panel layouts and cable calculations.

Will I be involved beyond drawing work?

Yes. You contribute to risk analyses, support panel construction and maintain as-built documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Which industries can I work in as an Electrical Draftsman?

Electrical Draftsmen are active in industrial automation, energy, infrastructure, pharma, manufacturing and high-tech environments.
