FAQs

Four honest answers to questions Project Managers actually ask.

Do I really get decision-making authority, or responsibility without control?

At Pauwels, project managers steer the whole project: aligning teams, architects and sponsors, also when they do not formally report to you. We discuss governance and staffing upfront.

Do I need a technical background?

Not required, but it helps. Most project managers come from an analysis background or have demonstrable experience with complex technical projects.

Do I work as a freelancer or on payroll?

Both are possible. We prefer payroll ourselves, because it gives you job security even when a client restructures, but we discuss openly what fits you.

What does an average project look like?

From digital transformations at banks to digitalisation projects at local authorities. Duration and scale differ a lot per client and sector.
