No. If you can work with the lab techniques, you can start. Many of our QC consultants come from another industry and learn the GMP context on the job, unless a vacancy lists GMP experience as a must.
A bachelor in biology, chemistry or laboratory technology. An A2 with QC experience also qualifies, and so does a school leaver who has worked with the techniques during an internship.
Yes. Techniques such as HPLC are not something you pick up on the job. They are not complex, but you need to have done them. School gives you the theory, your internship gives you the practice.
It depends on the role. Around 40 percent of positions run in shifts, early or late, never nights. The rest is day work. You join a team and rotate along week by week.
Towards R&D or towards production. We stay realistic about the pace: ten months of QC does not make you an operations engineer, but the step exists and we plan it with you.
