That differs per client. At some, Product Owner is a tactical role close to the team; at others it comes with real ownership of the product direction. We are honest about which one an assignment is before you accept it.
At most clients, Product Owner leans on the backlog and the sprint, while Product Manager leans on the roadmap, the market and the business case. The exact split differs per organisation.
Not required. Many Product Owners come from an analysis background. An affinity with tech and data helps, but you do not have to code yourself.
